Happy Thought of the Week...

"It is not the design of heaven that we be rescued from all difficult situations.  Rather, it is the Lord's will that we learn to handle them.  The sense of being overwhelmed is very much a part of the journey.  The power with which God clothes us in His holy temples does not imply that our journey will be an easy one. As we except our lot and move forward with the Lord has asked of us, we discover that we enjoy the company of the Holy Ghost, angels feel constrained to join us, and the heavens open to our vision."

Happy Thought of the Week...

"As we strive to prepare ourselves and our youth spiritually, we can have a tremendous impact-- even though we may not readily be aware of it.  Thus, we must be patient.  Rearing children in the gospel is a process, not an event.  The secret is to start early, be consistent, plan for life's demands, focus on eternal truths, and study the gospel-- especially the Book of Mormon.  Through our efforts, trusting in the Savior's grace to compensate for our weaknesses, we can succeed.  And through these efforts, we can find peace in our lives and joy with our children."

Happy Thought of the Week......

"As you reach out to your Heavenly Father, as you pray to Him in the name of Christ, He will answer you.  He speaks to us everywhere.  As you read God's word recorded in the scriptures, listen for His voice.  As you visit the temple and attend Church meetings, listen for His voice.  Listen for the voice of the Father in the bounties and beauties of nature, in the gentle whisperings of the Spirit.  In your daily interactions with others, in the words of a hymn, in the laughter of a child, listen for His voice.  If you listen for the voice of the Father, He will lead you on a course that will allow you to experience the pure love of Christ."

Wednesday Activity

Sisters,

Don't forget this Wednesday, January 19th, at 6:30pm at the Stake Center we will be having a Stake Relief Society Activity!  We will be putting together hygiene kits and tying quilts!  We need all hands on deck to get these done so PLEASE join us!  Young Women are also invited!!!!  Hope to see you there!!!!!!!

Happy Thought of the Week........

"We believe that one virtuous (young) woman, led by the Spirit, can change the world.  We have observed young women doing what they believe is right, standing as witnesses, living the gospel standards, and truly making a difference.  If is amazing what one young woman can accomplish when she is virtuous, listens to the still, small voice of the Holy Ghost, and then acts!  This year, believe.  Believe you are a daughter of Heavenly Father, who loves you and will help you.  Believe in the Savior Jesus Christ.  He is your light.  He is your hope.  He is your exemplar and Redeemer.  Believe in yourself!  All together we can seek after those things that are virtuous, lovely, and praiseworthy.  All together we can make a difference in our world."

Happy Thought of the Week........

"Your future is not determined by the conditions around you.  It is determined by your faith, your choices, and your efforts.  Yes you live in challenging times, but so did Mary, Moroni, and Joseph Smith.  You don't have to be carried along in the current of the times.  The Lord can help you as you move forward with your life.  Each of you has a bright future, a future you cannot now fully comprehend."

New Year!

It's a New Year!  Hopefully I can keep up a little better with things that need to be posted!  Couple of things to note:  We have a Stake Service Night Wednesday January 19th!  We will be putting together a LOT of hygiene kits so we welcome all the help we can get! (Young Women, friends, etc are welcome!)  Details regarding where and what time will be coming soon!

Also the Primary Presidency would like all the Primary aged youth to read the Book of Mormon this year so if you could encourage/help your children to read the following website www.ldsscripturetools.com can help you achieve this goal!

In Sunday School this year we will be studying the New Testament and you can pick the class member study guide from the bishops office so that if you can't join us you can follow along!

Please remember to do your visiting teaching early in the month and let the Relief Society presidency know if you are in need of assistance or have a concern about your families!

Also, I would like this blog to be something that all can participate in!  If you have any announcements, good news, spiritual thoughts, testimonies or needs please contact me and we can get it posted!  Any suggestions for our little blog here would also be appreciated and welcome....just chat with me at church or email/call me!
